Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer to join our team and help safeguard our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures that protect our systems from cyber threats. You will collaborate with IT teams to ensure the security of network devices and data, analyze potential security risks, and develop strategic solutions to enhance our network security posture.

Job Description

  • Network Security Design: Develop and implement security solutions and architectures to protect network systems.
  • Monitoring and Analysis: Continuously monitor network traffic for unusual activities and investigate security breaches.
  • Security Policies: Create and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Threat Detection: Utilize advanced tools to detect and respond to threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents.
  • Firewall Management: Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and other security appliances.
  • Incident Response: Lead incident response efforts to mitigate security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify security gaps and recommend improvements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with IT and development teams to integrate security into network infrastructure projects.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of network security configurations, policies, and procedures.
  • Training: Educate employees on best practices for network security to ensure compliance and awareness.

Required Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in network security engineering or a similar role.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CCNP Security are highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, VPNs).
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of network protocols, security principles, and best practices.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills for addressing security incidents.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail and the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies.
